(1) Classified by structure and function
1.Self-unloading semi-trailer:
Specifically designed for the transportation of bulk and scattered goods such as coal, minerals, and construction materials. The body has the functions of side and rear unloading, significantly enhancing the efficiency of loading and unloading. The frame and longitudinal beams of the body are welded with high-quality manganese plates. The cargo box comes in two styles: a dustpan type and a rectangular type. It features high strength, strong lifting capacity, excellent rigidity and toughness, large carrying capacity, and is not prone to permanent deformation.
The vehicle body has no side panels. The frame is of through-beam type and is composed of series-connected dry plate springs and suspension supports. The structure is reasonable, with excellent rigidity and strength. It is used for medium and long-distance transportation of heavy vehicles (such as tractor trucks, buses, special vehicles), rail vehicles, mining and forestry, agricultural machinery (like excavators, bulldozers, loaders, etc.) and other heavy-load goods. Its low-bed design lowers the center of gravity of the goods and improves transportation stability.
3. Enclosed semi-trailer:
The cargo area is equipped with a fence structure, which offers good ventilation and is convenient for loading and unloading. It is mainly used for transporting agricultural products (such as vegetables and fruits) and other light and fragile goods. The model and fence structure are designed according to the type of goods, ensuring the load capacity while reducing the weight of the trailer. The structure is simple and practical, and can be disassembled.
4. Container semi-trailer:
The cargo-carrying area is in the form of a container structure. It is closely integrated with ships, ports, shipping routes, highways, transfer stations, bridges, tunnels, and multimodal transport logistics systems. It is specifically used for transporting standard containers (such as 20-foot and 40-foot containers), facilitating rapid loading and unloading as well as cargo transfer, and achieving efficient logistics transportation.
5.Tank semi-trailer:
The cargo-carrying part is in a tank structure, used for transporting liquids (such as petroleum, edible oil), bulk materials (such as grains) and bulk cement, etc. Depending on the different transportation media, it is classified as an oil tanker, concrete mixer truck, powder and granular material truck, water supply truck, etc. The tank design must comply with the safety transportation requirements for the corresponding medium, such as explosion-proof, anti-corrosion, heat insulation, etc.
6. Panel-type semi-trailer:
The cargo area is of panel structure, with strong applicability. It is mainly used for medium and heavy goods as well as bulk goods transportation over long distances, and is a relatively common type of freight vehicle.
7.Swing-arm semi-trailer:
Suitable for various mechanical equipment, large objects, highway construction equipment, large tank containers, power station equipment and various steel transportation. It has flat plate type, concave beam type and exposed tire type structures. The longitudinal beams adopt straight or swing-arm type, the frame is stepped type, the cross-section of the longitudinal beams is I-shaped, with high rigidity and strength.
